2020 – 2022
I have often been complimented by folks who say I have a business brain but non-profit heart, which has led to my career choices and work at the Buck Institute and P21. I am attracted to the work of FPS because they take the theoretical work of 21st Century Learning Frameworks and translate it into implementation and programming with students and teachers. I have focused much of the last 25 years on non-profit management but my true love is curriculum and instruction. When I saw the quality of FPS content at the Learning Forward conference (where I co-presented with April) I became eager to learn more. Problem solving and critical thinking are essential skills for college, career and community so any organization that promotes those skills is a valuable entity.
