Amanda grew up in North Haven, Connecticut, where she competed in Future Problem Solving and Community Problem Solving throughout middle and high school. She graduated from Brandeis University in 2015 with a BS in Neuroscience, where she played varsity Softball. After Brandeis, she lived abroad teaching English and worked in various development and event planning roles for nonprofits. She also received her MS in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Johns Hopkins University and worked for an environmental peacebuilding NGO in the Middle East. She returned home to hike part of the Appalachian Trail before moving back to Boston. Now she works at InnerCity Weightlifting as the Director of Development, a nonprofit on a mission to amplify the voice and agency of those most impacted by systemic racism and mass incarceration. When not at work, you can find her coaching MIT Softball, playing slowpitch softball, backpacking, traveling, or exploring new parts of the city.
